DigiGov Expo 2024: Unifying the Future of Public Sector Technology

A flagship two-day event has been launched to provide the digital, data and technology communities working across local and central government with the opportunity to learn about latest industry developments, share best practice, explore innovative solutions and collaborate with their peers. More than 2,400 public sector tech professionals are expected to attend the inaugural DigiGov Expo 2024, which will take place on 24th and 25th September at the ExCeL London.

DigiGov Expo – organised by GovNet – will consolidate the conference producer’s four existing technology-focused events to create a new annual event for 2024. The decision to merge Government ICT (launched in 2004), the Cyber Security and Data Protection Summit (2011), DigiGov (2014) and GovTech (2019) is a strategic move that will enable industry professionals, across various disciplines, to learn more efficiently about a wide range of topics, from AI regulation to IT infrastructure, all under one roof.

The event has been specifically designed to help the public sector address its current pain points. This includes enabling the audience to forecast future technology trends more effectively, whilst also providing access to the latest technologies that can drive efficiencies and enhance how they deliver services for citizens. In addition, the importance of increased collaboration will be a key focus at DigiGov Expo, which will improve service delivery, as well as helping delegates upskill and become more effective in their roles. This is increasingly significant in light of the well-publicised digital skills shortage across government.

For supporters of the legacy events, there will be familiar themes running throughout DigiGov Expo, with the four main theatres resembling the conferences of old: GovICT, Citizen Experience, GovTech and Cyber Security. As before, those working in the public sector can attend for free.

More than 125 speakers will be present at the event, including: Eddie Copeland, Director, LOTI;, Vicky Ridley-Pearson, Director of Digital and Technology, Greater London Authority;, Dionne Lowndes, Chief Digital and Technology Officer, Southwark Council;, Kit Collingwood, Assistant Director, Digital and Customer Services, Royal Borough of Greenwich;, Lord Tim Clement-Jones CBE, Spokesperson for Science, Innovation and Technology, House of Lords and many more

In addition to the expert content on offer across the two days, industry professionals will be able to explore cutting-edge solutions and the latest technologies from over 150 exhibitors, as well as being able to connect with industry leaders and peers during extensive networking opportunities. Furthermore, the Crown Commercial Service and GDS have been confirmed as DigiGov Expo’s Strategic Show Partners for 2024. LOTI have also joined as a partner for 2024!
