Prompt & Productivity Library pilot

LOTI is pleased to introduce a new Prompt & Productivity Library designed to support local authorities in navigating and optimising their use of generative AI tools. This resource serves as a productivity workbench, providing structured workflows and prompt templates tailored to the specific needs of council services.

What is it?

The LOTI Prompt & Productivity Library pilot is a new resource designed to help local authorities navigate and optimise their use of generative AI tools. It functions as a productivity workbench that provides structured workflows and prompt templates tailored to the specific needs of council services.

Currently in a pilot phase, the initiative aims to determine how the library can best support borough officers with tasks ranging from administrative productivity to specialized service workflows.

Why did we create it?

LOTI created the Prompt & Productivity Library pilot to support local authorities in navigating and optimising their use of generative AI tools. Specifically, the initiative was developed to serve as a productivity workbench that provides structured workflows and prompt templates tailored to the specific needs of council services.

Currently in its pilot phase, the project aims to determine how such a library can best support borough officers in their daily tasks, ranging from administrative productivity to specialized service workflows.

Who should use it?

Public servants in councils should use the LOTI Prompt & Productivity Library pilot because it acts as a productivity workbench, specifically designed to help navigate and optimise the use of generative AI tools.

Key benefits include:

  • Tailored Workflows: It provides structured workflows and prompt templates specifically adapted to the needs of council services.
  • Support for Diverse Tasks: It is intended to support borough officers with a wide range of tasks, covering everything from administrative productivity to specialised service workflows.

Acknowledgements

The development of this tool is the result of significant innovation within the London borough community. We would like to give specific credit to Vindy Hansra, Digital & Data Transformation Lead, and Croydon Council for his leadership in inventing and developing this resource.

Pilot Phase and Community Feedback

This initiative is currently being launched as a pilot. Our objective is to determine how such a library can best support borough officers in their daily tasks, from administrative productivity to specialised service workflows.

LOTI will continue to support and iterate on this library based on the feedback received from the community. We are particularly interested in:

  • The relevance of current workflows to your specific service areas.
  • Suggestions for new categories or automated processes.
  • The overall usability of the interface across different AI platforms (e.g., CoPilot, Gemini, or ChatGPT).

How to Access and Participate

The library has been refactored to align with LOTI’s digital best practice standards and is now available for testing.

  • Access the Library
  • Provide Feedback: Please use the feedback mechanism located within the application to share your thoughts and suggestions.

Future maintenance and updates will be managed in collaboration with partner boroughs to ensure the content remains current and valuable for all members. If you have any questions, please contact the LOTI team
