Introduction

LOTI is working to help boroughs meaningfully put resident voices at the heart of their decision-making, policy creation and service design. Our ambition is for London to be the best city in the world for the relationship between residents and local government.

With new and innovative technologies, approaches and tools now available, it has become increasingly possible to capture resident voices in ways that go far beyond traditional consultations, petitions and communications campaigns. As a result, a global ‘deliberative wave’ has emerged, through which informed resident perspectives can more directly and meaningfully shape how government works.

LOTI is working with its members to identify common pain points, surface best practice from within and outside of London, and identify steps for future innovation.
