This template can be helpful when data sharing does not involve personal data, or where the risks relating to the sharing of personal data are low. This might, for example, be where only the names and business contact details of people working on a project or contract are shared. It might run to several pages, as required. This should not be used where processing requires a DPIA, as that is higher risk sharing.
View this templateIdentifying the Data Sharing Parties and Their Motivations
The types of organisations, their duties and their reasons for sharing data for a particular subject are all described within a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and Data Sharing Agreement (DSA). You may have people enter this information directly into a DPIA or DSA template, or you might find this document helpful to capture this information without allowing multiple editors of the DPIA or DSA.
